Founded in 1999, The Cindy Platt Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County is committed to enabling all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Our Club is affiliated with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, a nationwide movement of community-based, autonomous organizations working to help youth of all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders. We offer daily access to a broad range of programs that promote academic success, cultivate healthy lifestyles and nurture good character and citizenship.
Resiliency Coordinator (Qualified Mental Health Professional)
We are looking for a Resiliency Coordinator to join our team! This full-time position plays a vital role in creating a trauma-informed, inclusive environment for youth by providing therapy, case management, and emotional support, while training and guiding staff in best practices. The Resiliency Coordinator will lead social-emotional learning programs, work directly with youth and families, and maintain a visible, supportive presence in both our afterschool and summer programs.
Key responsibilities include providing group and individual therapy using evidence-based practices, offering case management and referrals, leading social-emotional learning activities, creating behavioral supports, conducting risk and behavior assessments, training staff in trauma-informed care and mental health awareness, partnering with families and community mental health providers, coordinating family wellness events, and maintaining required documentation.
Qualified candidates must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), with a preference for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or someone with the ability to earn their LCSW. Experience in youth mental health services, particularly in group settings, along with strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills, is essential. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, energetic environment with children. CPR/First Aid certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation is also desired. The work schedule during the school year is Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift between 10:30 AM and 7:00 PM. During the summer months, the schedule shifts to Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for special programs or events.

Youth Development Professional
We are looking for motivated individuals to work with all age groups - kindergarten through high school. Help prepare youth for the future by becoming a Youth Development Professional (YDP) at the Club! Our perfect YDP loves working with kids, enjoys being part of a supportive team, is flexible, thrives in a bustling environment, and is ready to live our mission. Our YDPs work directly with our student groups, supporting our directors and following all BGC policies to offer a safe and happy environment for all. Most work hours are after-school and do not include weekends.
